I hope that thing is magged, or shes gonna blow . Way too hot for braid unless properly magged, IMO.

Enjoy it though, its a sweet reel.

Wait till you use that the first time. Ain't nothing like an ABU or calcutta

I tried one last summer and it made my P-220 seem slow.

I know mac, the spool can spin for 2 minutes.

As for magging it, i read 2 of the 1/4" lee valley magnets will get it to do what i want.

What a reel though. It makes my 6500's look and feel like cheap toys. (except for my chrome rocket)

ya think it will make it across the canal?

The United States Constitution does not exist to grant you rights; those rights are inherent within you. Rather it exists to frame a limited government so that those natural rights can be exercised freely.

1984 was a warning, not a guidebook!

It's time more people spoke up with the truth. Every time we let a leftist lie go uncorrected, the commies get stronger.

I have used it now for a few seasons...but mostly as a bottom fishing reel from a boat. When I first got it I slapped it on a conv surf rod and made a few casts. The bearings are great in that thing, they spin forever. But I bought it as a fluking reel.

After using it for a 2 full seasons I can say they are rugged, smooth and have a very good lever drag (and the price is right) but they are not the most ergonomic reels. The handle feels great but it needs to be at an angle or something because you have to bend your wrist too much (IMO) to reel. It is a solid reel but I relegated it as a backup reel this season and relaced it with a shimano, it just feels better when I reel not as much wirst ache. It was more of a personal thing of feel then anything else.

i agree, the handle is a bit awkward, but i will get used to it. I got this reel because i do a lot of rock hopping and everyonce in a while
I take a digger and land on my pole...sometimes reel facing the rock. I need something that can take a pounding and not break. from the looks of this reel you could do a lot of harsh things to it and it will be OK. I wont use this reel everytime i go out, but at certian places and at certian times, it will be used heavily.
