Muslim Riots

What in the world is going on overseas with all the Muslims going nuts over a stupid cartoon? Is a cartoon in poor taste a good reason to beat the crap outta people and burn down buldings? We've seen alot of odd things from the Muslim world in the past but this really takes the cake! Muslins in London are calling for beheadings, and more 9/11's. Over a freakin cartoon!!The Muslim newspapers have been running racist cartoons of Jews and the Western world for ages and we just shrug it off. But somone runs ONE cartoon against thier religion and they go freakin nuts. I've offically given up trying to understand Islam and how Muslims think. Where is all this hatred coming from? What causes one to burn and kill people over a cartoon? What makes one strap bombs to thier chest and kill children? All in the name off thier god. I'm not looking for a big ole argument here....But i think i'm not alone when i wonder what the heck is wrong with these people and Islam?

IMHO its more like what the Mullahs ans Ayatollas believe in rather than what the Koran says.

Angry i hate to say this....

but i have got the intense de ja vu feeling that it's only a matter of time before praying in the streets muslims will be themselves a target in retalliation for suicide bombings....( to get a taste of their own medicine)

and ....if this is all it takes to piss them off then we
(or someone)should have plane loads of cartoons dropped showing mohamed doin a big porn pig on the side of the road or whatever ->will piss them off the most... WHY you say? because: TIME
is a terrorists best weapon and we need to bring it to a head now! and finish this battle by taking back control of the time factor.

then tap those phone lines....for pissed off.... allah ass kissers
and the traffic will be SUPER heavy.....

because the reservoir of sympathy for them as a whole group
has completely run dry.
i'm sick of them and all of their crap.

they can burn americans alive and drag them through the streets
as a crispy critter and or hang the corpses from bridges
behead people ,kidnap them ....and the rest of the world can't even
draw a cartoon... its time for bigger weapons so they know who to pray for forgiveness to... i am totally fed up with them.

I think the riots and what sparked them is going a long way to convince us that they are unreasonable and not interested in living in peace with the rest of the people in the world. They want everyone praying to Mecca and kill everyone who doesn't. We are being fools right now to think we can stomp out a few radicals and the problem goes away.

I just think that BOTH sides operate with a "my way or the highway" attitude, which inherently leaves little option for communication and always pushes towards violence.

I'm not saying I have the answers, just that making this a black or white issue isn't going to solve problems. They're never going to stop blowing stuff up, and we of course can't go all the way militarily and scrub them off the planet.

Maybe it's an overly optimistic view (but I don't think so unless you seriously think bombing them into oblivion is an option), but at some point some common ground, even a little, needs to be found. Security policies need total reinvention and the roots of the problems need to be addressed, as opposed to addressing just the end result of violence. United States Security should not only be thought of as a military issue.

Diplomacy seems to be a lost art. Someone, somewhere needs to offer an olive branch. Of course, the past couple decades of policy has kind of pushed things towards a point of no return...

No question that.....

the whole area could erupt especially with the terrorist president in Iran is just pushing the free world to rain on his parade in retaliation for his loose cannon rhetoric. Most of these people are captive to thier leaders though, because it is the church that provides sustanance to them foodwise feeding thier families because thier are no jobs. Either that all of these poeple are let off work or take extended lunch hours to go through rocks at the local embassies. So its either pray six times a day or starve.

Why don’t you get on a plane to Iraq and try your Diplomacy with them. I’m sure they would be happy to show you.

When exactly does the survival instinct kick in with Liberals? Careful , you may become extinct.

No offense Spence, Personally I think youre a nice guy, i just dont agree with your misplaced sympathy .
You need to have more empathy with your fellow Americans. We are on the same team. They are not your friends .They are the ones that would lob your head off in a heartbeat. Im sure youve seen the videos. As far as I am aware we have never taken hostages and beheaded them, so your remark is rather insulting to OUR collective intelligence, eventhough we may not have your 140+ IQ.

Don't get me wrong, I'll all for shooting them.

But there are really very few people so consumed with killing, it's the ones on the fence or who dabble in killing you have to worry about in the long run.

Obviously no one is implying we start with a sit down with Al Queda. You start by seeing eye to eye with people you can see eye to eye with, THEN you put additional pressure on those you don't. Right now almost nobody likes us, and that's a BIG problem when it comes to putting leverage on rouge groups or nations. Military action is always kept in the back pocket ready to go, you just don't go swinging around your saber as aggressively as we do now. You rattle the saber, instead of pointing it in someone's face, especially since it's tough to find the exact people you're supposed to be pointing it at in the case of terrorists.

I'm not about sympathy, I'm about protecting the homefront through any means possible.

Unilateral pre-emptive retaliation and regime change don't seem to be working, maybe it's time to try something different. Seriously, what did regime change in Iraq do for me? A couple of my friends are dead, it cost me a lot of money to bomb stuff, gas prices are higher then ever, terrorists are even more inspired to kill me, and the Middle East overall is probably more unstable then it was before the war. What was that war all about anyway?

Speaking of the war, we now all know there were no WMD in Iraq at the start of the war. Because of that, it's pretty safe to say the sanctions and diplomacy prior to the war worked.

Intersting note in this whole cartoon thingy. The cartoon was printed in Denmark in September and recieved little protest by local Muslims, any protests that happened were peaceful. Well i guess the head of one of the Danish mosques decided recently to send the cartoon to the middle east....yeah nice move buddy. Anyone doubt that guy wanted to fuel the fire? What kind of religios leader looks for violence? This is why the west views Islam the way it does, becuase they always appear to be looking for a clash of relgions/ cultures and try to stirr %$%$%$%$ up. oh, and the suicde bombings/ beheadings in the name of allah dont make thier religion look so peaceful either.

There's a muslim women here in the US who has a book out ripping radcal muslims for taking over a good religion. Well here you have a muslim women who is trying her best to stop the violence by condemning the radicals and she is getting all sorts of death threats from muslim leaders overseas. Religion of peace? I beg to differ. The muslin leaders are fueling the riots over there....
