Block Island VFD Tournament 7/21-23 - Striper Talk Striped Bass Fishing, Surfcasting, Boating

John R tells me it's OK to post the info for the Block Island Volunteer Fire Department second annual inshore tournament. Runs 18:00 July 21 thru 12:00 July 23. Divisions for bass, blues, and fluke; bait and artificials; shore and boat. Registration is $30 including one division, tee shirt, and all-you-can-eat-and-drink award cookout on Sunday. Juniors $20, and additional divisions $10 each. Registration and weigh-ins at BI Fishworks and Twin Maples. Prizes to be determined. All proceeds to benefit BI Volunteer Fire and Rescue.

Last year was a hoot, so we plan to make it an ongoing event. Looks like a big turnout. If you need an excuse to come on out and fish here it is!

I would have fished that for sure but that week I am going to be in Truro. My wife said I never need an excuse to fish I just go when I want

We just set the date Monday night, so are still working through the details. Info should run in OTW and Fisherman as we get it together. I'll post whatever I hear here.
