ART is in my BLOOD
well some of you get a kick out of what i do with digital art...
and i still have very much to learn.
it's something i want to do in my golden years you might say.
but i wanted to share something with all of you @ S-B that i think is...........
absolutely awesome.....because of the power of the sea that was captured within it....
it's my Mother's painting who was always my inspiration
....i'm currently doing all the art work restoration (editing)
for an art website that displays all of my mother's art.
She must have 200-300 paintings given to friends all over the USA.
This one ...... wow.... man oh man did she have talent.
well you decide.....

Very beautiful Raven.
My mother enjoyed painting also. She may not have considered herself an artist but I always did.
After 28yrs I still miss her so.

i believe it was painted in Mattapoisett but having only just recieved it today via the internet i don't yet have the history...
i think it was painted in the 70's where we lived right on the ocean.
the light house might have been bird's island in buzards bay.
often as i was loading the boston whaler with fishing gear i'd pull up a chair and sit beside her as she painted enjoying the calm silence
and watching her paint as i glassed (with binoculars) for diving terns.
it was the most fun to scramble out there and kill the engine and then have a "fish on"..... in the first cast.

reminds me of a spot in Narragansett. If you look at the water inside that wave, you can just make out the submerged rocks. If i wa a bass i would be laying right behind it... She was good
