Mullet

no, not the hair style we all love, the fish. so, what do you all use when the mullet are around? i ran into some nice schools of them last fall, but wasn't sure what to throw at the bass feeding on them. what color patterns do you tend towards?

Welcome to S-B T - I would probably use a stubby needle fish but I have rarely been in the same water as running mullet (usually have an eel on anyway). But those new Storm baits look interesting in Mullet color - might be worth a shot too...

I always have at least one stubby needlefish - even when eel fishing I'll bring at least 3 plugs with me, 2 stubbys and a swimmer. Three plugs and some teasers doesn't bulk up enough to stop me from using a small plug bad for all of my needs and have a backup in case eels aren't cutting it....
