I caught all my fish on her teasers too. This is the first time I ever used them. I always thought it would be a pain in the _ _ _. It is'nt though.

Teasers just plain work - I have had times when I wasn't getting any fish on my lure, put a teaser on and then suddenly start getting hits on the lure that I, or anyone else around me wasn't getting before the teaser went on...

Some kind of teaser should be fished in most circumstances...

Juls,

Any chance you can diagram or described the various ways of rigging the teasers? I've probably seen them rigged 4 or 5 different ways and don't know the why or when.

What kink of teasers you talking about?
I have tied flies a couple of feet in front of a lure with some success.
What are you using?

You'll recognize them at the show as they show off their teaser rigs .... I guess you can say they have heavy involvement in the club... Look forward to meeting you myself too.

Hey, just because I am going gray doesn't mean I am older than you. I'll see you Wednesday. We have to go to court at 2:00 so I won't be leaving from in town.

Wink

Nightfighter,
There is no exact sience to putting a teaser rig together. The whole object is to make the lure look like it is chasing the fly, so it will put the fish into striking mode. Everybody has their own preference to how they may want to put one together and how long they might want it to be.

We have a standard method which works best for us, we use terminal tackle, we don't tie the knot from the fly line onto the main line, so that you won't break the whole rig apart if 2 large fish hit it at the same time.

We use strickly Seagar flourocarbon, 30 # test. Berkley snaps and barrels and some really pretty flies!!!! LOL Always remember that you want that lure to look like it is chasing the fly. Don't change the action of the lure because you are using a teaser rig, keep the action the same as you would if you didn't have the rig on. And then hold on, because you never know what might hit your line.

SPecialist, glad the wife had a great time, you better get stocked up now that you will be fishing as a team. She looks hooked to me!!!.

We will have the teasers at the club for sale if anybody needs some.
