Plug Swap Plug Evaluation!

Hot Damn I just keep going through them one at a time they are friggin awesome! Thought I would post my thoughts as I run through plug alley one more time!

Fishaholic18-Cool flatsided swimmer....action on this must be great....I am thinking a nice backside beach dawn patrol with this baby! Thanks so much!

MAC-Damn thats one heavy pencil.....I have never fished the Canal much but that is where this big boy is going as the cows arrive in a couple weeks!!! Nice work and thanks so much!

The Dad Fisherman-This sucker is gonna move some H20 thats a guarantee! Its got a bigger mouth than me! Sunset.....some rocks that I know...cow caller for sure! Gurgle, gurgle.....thanks so much!

Tagger-Wow! Love the eyes on these.....reminds me of flounder......a nice rip for this one....I can see the tail swingin as the fish bounce on it! Thanks so much!

Cranium-One of the finest versions of a spook I have seen! I am a fan of red/orange/yellow plugs! Incoming tide somewhere down the Cape I think.....mid day....stripers are gonna eat good! Thanks so much!

Professor Moriarty-One of the coolest needles I have ever seen! Great balance to it! The colors are great! Saving this for a warm evening down the Cape.....just after the sun drops.....GULP! Thanks so much!

Eastendlu-Ridem' Cowboy! I can't wait to swim this slayer anywhere.....I can't wait to see the action on this! Gonna throw a saddle on it and c gallop it past some bars and troughs on my favorite beaches! Smokin' paint! Thanks so much!

L.I.FishVT-John....huge fan of your darters anyway! Best action I have seen on one so I was thrilled to get this one as I was all out of yours! This is sweet....nice color choice! Can you say "Outgoing at Hatches"? Thanks so much!

ThrowingTimber-Hernia! 3/4 moon.....month of June.....Cows will swoon.....Awesome Flaptail!! May have to save this for Cuttyhunk! Thanks so much!

PNG-One of the sexiest Danny plugs I have had the pleasure to see! Yellow/White is one of my favorite color combos.....sunrise/sunset....big fish I am gonna get on this one! Thanks so much!

Backbeach Jake-Fat Danny with scales.....Fred knows his danny plugs and this one is earmarked for HOTM!!!! Gotta find that hole!!! Thanks so much!

Kadywampus-What a bomb this pencil is! When the blitzing bass are out of reach...this one will get the call! Love the blue over white scales!!! Thanks so much!

Canalman-Vintage looking Danny.....eyes are very retro looking, I love it! By the weight I can tell this is going to leave one hell of a wake on top as it slowly snakes a few select spots I know! Numbered to boot! 27 of 28...nice touch! Thanks so much!

Striperhound-Warren...I am a fan! This Danny has Cow and hammertime written all over it! 1/4 moon in my favorite local spot! Deadly! Love the paint! Thanks so much!

Tobias-What can I say about a Floyd Roman Nike???? Awesome craftsmanship! Detailed to the nines! Sick paint work! Some outflowing backwater or dropping tide in the sands of the Cape is calling this one! Thanks so much!

KarlF-I am a danny fan and this one is sweet! Light, narrow profile and sexy! I know an estuary where this one will seduce! Thanks so much!

Fishpart-Very cool spook!!! I love topwater so this one is gonna be busy!!! Great weight, should cast nice....I am guessing its a hardwood with no lead in it.....its heavy for its size! Splish, splash! Thanks so much!

Gonefishin-Don.....nice work! Very unique pikie like swimmer! Sexy profile and great paint work! I will take this one on the rocks! Thanks so much!

Freak-As always...sick paint! Gonna chop some topwater with this one! Can't wait to see this down Race Point! Thanks so much!

Slipknot-Nice Canal pencil......wonder which one scores me my first canal cow, yours or MAC's! Think I will fish the Canal with just this plug and MAC's and I will be all set! Thanks so much!

Reelectasy-Great needle....you have been practicing your craft my friend! Love the orange over white! This one gets the nod at that place you know! Above the boulders! It should be busy! Thanks so much!

Man...was that everyone? Thanks guys! Just had alot of fun doing this and I can't wait to take them all for a swim.....thank Gawd I have the new truck to haul them all!

Almost time to get our fish on!!!

Thumbs up Wow....

BigFish, that was a great review! Your topwater/ popper is gonna cause some explosive reactions for sure! I'm pretty much speechless here. Just want to say thanks for letting me play with the big boys. The work in that box is nothing short of awesome. Thanks for the effort, guys. And Andy, thanks for putting and keeping this thing together.

Great Revue BF, and You build a real Scwheet popper.
Good Call on my "potato chip" danny, estuarys... thats where it shines, not a plug for the surf, but... estuarys with some moving water, springtime, especailly if there are herring around.
Gentlemen, I am in awe of the talent from Everyone in this swap, Thank You for letting me be a part of it, and hope to do it again.

Only kidding.NIB is not capable of such numbers..Great work.I know some guys can put together that amount very easily an some must have been really stressed out.I know i would have been. I think it was a major accomplishment just pullin this thing off.Congrats to Tobias for the obvious.an to the rest of the fine builders.on a great effort...Now all of u send me a plug for ur next project...

I know what you mean John
but I'll fish these for sure, maybe the ones I only have one from that builder might get retired quickly but I'll toss them all, not sure if I can get myself to get striperhounds' plug wet though I'd hate to lose that one.

No, BM didn't stake out my mailbox.

NIb you couldn't do this swap if you had 23 years to do it, who are you kidding?

Thanks Tobias I'm glad I entered this swap, it's the best yet.

Flap, I'll show you them in person soon

ya I missed that
now go soak your feet and dust off your gear

I don't think I can rewire that billy M danny with the crooked lip since it appears to be epoxied in maybe some heat? I'd like to get it centered.

Took some time on Friday and swam a few of the plugs at the local river. It was pretty windy and the middle of the outgoing tide.

Big Fish - Great popper casts like a bullet, moves a lot of water, has action when slowly reeled, great paint.

Fish part - Your spook reminds me of an old guzz ballerina plug I had. Great WTdog action, can be swum up top or a foot or two below. Casts great. This will be in my bag alot. I am a sucker for a topwater plug.

Karl F - When I thru your plug up current, I backlashed my reel. so as I am pulling the line out of the reel, i look at your plug which has started to swing in front of me with the current. The little guy has a great little wiggle all on his own. I fix the baclash, start to reel slowly and he starts swimming with a nice s. Paint looks great in and out of the water.

And the last one I had time for was
Striperhound - What can I say great paint and great action- The purple really comes out on the back when it is swimming. I havent decided if I will fish or hang. But it seems a shame not to swim such a great plug.

I will get to the rest this week.

By the way, I cant say it enough, thanks for letting me participate and Andy thanks for putting it together. I have only been building plugs for about 14 months and counting the swap have only finished about 50 plugs. This was a great learning experience. I am definately in for next year. If you have any problem with my plug let me know and I will replace it. Even if you snap it off, I will make you a new one. It might take me a year and a half, but I will replace it. That is all.
