Winter fat

So, how much weight did you gain over the winter??
I'm pissed at myself, must have put on 20 or so and I'm feeling it.
Time to diet....

When I looked at the title I thought you were going to tell me to clean my PM's...

I actually did good this winter and lost 30 lbs. I've targeted 20 more by the time July gets here....hopefully

What diet are you doing? Don't say the "No Beer diet".
I did weight watchers a few years ago and lost 40#'s, may have to do that again.

I just made sure I had a Bowl of Cereal for breakfast each morning and I stopped doing take-out at lunch everyday....Just been bringing a can of soup to work for lunch.

That was about it.

Not that i was ever fat but i wanted to burn that stubborn fat around the mid section and did well. Eating better and hitting the gym is the key. I went from 180 to around 168 right now. Power bar harvest bars kick ass! tasty and good for you. Little fast food and less fatty snacks was the key. Gotta look good in my swimming trunks ya know

Lost about 15 lbs. Gained probably 5 back so far. I weigh around 195. Went to the Dr. for a physical and she said according to the new BMI I should weigh 165-8. I haven't been 165 since freshman year in highschool.

I weighed in at a whopping 238lbs about a month ago. I have cut out the soda, been drinking mostly water, trying to get away from eating a large italian sub at lunch was hard, been eating grilled chicken salads more, down to 226 now. Would like to drop another 25 or 30, but who knows =

When I was in high school I drank weight gain drinks to bulk up. I wish I could eat like I did then.

Yeah the soda is a killer. I'll drink mostly water and gatorade now. Maybe i'll have a soda or a beer on the weekends but thats it. The hard part is maintaning the good eating habits. but when you eat well all week its ok to cheat and have a nice tasty snack once in awhile! Just dont eat the crap everyday and you'll drop weight. Excersise too, not only will lose weight and get in shape but you'll feel so much more energized after a nice workout.

I think when you reach upper 30's or so your metabolism changes, a gaining is easy and loosing becomes more difficult...I was 175# no matter what I eat, this winter I put on a good 25#, my eating habbits suxed but the last two weeks its been mostly water and salads fruits and veggies. Gonna weigh myself last day of each month till its all gone. eating better sure makes you feel good too.

Here is an idea. Since gas is so exspensive, we all leave on friday night, 2 rods, and a backpack full of gear. We hike down rt 3 to the cape, we should make it by late sat afternoon. We skip lunch, fish a couple of hours, and start back so we can be home in time for work on monday. Kill 2 birds with 1 stone, spend less on fuel, and lose 20 pds.

Post great idea

but one day me and ray were about to cross the road...
and well we had a cocktail and probably shouldnt have...
because we didnt realize how far our rods were extending
into the roadway see

it was fine for automobiles....as we waited

but then this big ole box truck comes zoomin by
and smashes into our sticks and all we had left was handles

we were soooo outraged and mad at ourselves
for being so stupid.... but then it became the funniest
thing i ever saw as we kept lookin at the handles in our hands
and we were rolling on the side of the road laughin our butts off.

i was almost 180 lbs two weeks ago, but i dropped down to 5 lbs. my trainer thinks that i should fight at 150-65 lbs. yeah, sodas, sweet stuffs, and late dinners are bad for you.

btw, i was reading a men's health issue and it was interesting. it says that the foods that we thought were bad are actually good for you.
the foods are shreded coconuts, microwavable pork rinds, grass fed beef jerky, alcohol (pinot wine and some beer at the moderation), and chocolate.

they are high in proteins and contained othe rnutritional values
http://www.menshealth.com/cda/articl...00cfe793cd____

bill, im tired of walking to a fishing spot...

Arrow well adding to that...

coconut has a way of boosting your metabolism by stimulating your
thyroid gland directly.... the thing with beer is that it is the slowest to digest food there is so its not good going to sleep with a belly full
as it takes all night long to digest it....and digestion by itself is a very strenuos thing for your body to be doing while your trying to sleep second only to having sex....the body is actually designed to burn fat...but it needs only small amounts to keep the internal fires burning.

Seems I can eat that rabbit food all i want an not gain.
Oh Boy! Sitting on the computer being a mouse potato don't help.I gotta smash this thing. An go fishin

yeah Nib, it was easier a few years ago, I used to be able to drop 20-25 at will, in under a month... it don't work that way, no more.
