Question Windows XP Home Edition Help?

Is it possible to edit the programs that start when I turn the PC on? During startup, windows explorer always opens up to the system 32 directory and the startup will not continue until I close the wondow. I've done all the help searches I can think of but I always run into a dead end.

After I posted, I did a search and found this post from jugstah about selective startup. Worked like a charm.

Raven ,

That sounds like some supercharged set-up. I just added a gig of RAM to the 256 I had at home. NICE!!!! Hopefully, I'll getted started spinning some wood this weekend. I haven't gotten going yet due to the list of things I need to do in the yard. Yours will be part of the needles I'm making for a swap on another site.

Arrow yeah it is

compared to the pentium two dinosaur i was running...

the keyboard on this thing is ultra sweet and comfey
with silent typing and a built in palm rest...gotta luv it..

the PC is so ultra quiet that it seems like its off...compared
to my old unit that sounded like a mac truck idling...

it's a business deduction of course...

no sweat on the plug johnE ...
i just wondered if the rain gave you some extra
lathe...time
was all...

I highly recommend the CCleaner program www.ccleaner.com It lets you control start up and gets rid of all the junk left behind by web browsing and installing and uninstalling programs. Free program. On the subject of free programs, I also use AVG antivirus, spybot , and adaware to keep out the crap for nuttin.
