Wednesday's MSBA How To night

As Flatts mentioned, Wednesday's MSBA meeting is our annual "How-To" night at the club in Braintree. Striped-Bass regulars Fisherwoman & BC will be doing how-to's on their fishin' teaser rigs and Got Stripers will be showing off his Jerk Baits.

There will be other displays from Rod Building and 'Yaking and usually there is some on eelin' too....

It's a good night to see the club every year and I usually learn a thing or three myself ....

Holler if you're interested in going, members & non-members alike...

The club's website is http://msba.net ...

Thanks,

John

I live nearly staggering distance from the Viking Club where the meeting is held. I was toying around with the idea of a small BBQ at my place before hand say at about 5:30. Nothing fancy just some burgers and dogs. If it isn't too dark we could also get in some horse shoes (to throw that is).

If you are interested then let me know so I can get a rough head count. Either respond to this post or email me directly at mike@basspond.com

OK. So far it looks like Goose and Van can make it. I'll pass along some directions and my phone number to you tomorrow.

Goose, do you know where the meetings are held? If not I'll give you directions to my place from wherever you are coming from.

I just kegged some homebrew last week (Killian's Red clone). I usually bottle my beer but this is the first kegged batch. I may need some unbiased input on its quality. Anyone willing to help me - in the interest of science of course.

How was the how-to night? I wanted to come to my first ever MSBA meeting but I threw out my back and decided to just rest it, instead of going out and injuring it more. Oh well, next time.

It was pretty good with the possible exception of some drawn out discussions about what defines a "tackle shop" and who certifies the sealed scale (tourney issues). Lots of cool stuff from GS & BC, rod building, live bait fishing, free line & hooks, boat fishing and so on....

I didn't see Goose or Van (not that I know what Van looks like)....

S.O.t.B. - screwing up a back is not good - I'm waiting for my X-Ray results to see how bad this year will be

Hey John:

Well it turned into the night from H--L for me.
When I got home I was informed that my son had been
doing some NOT-SO-NICE internet accessing and we got a
message from AOL that he violated the Terms of Service for
foul language.

He still went to his ball game, but after that the S--T hit the fan at
home. By the time the smoke cleared it was almost 9:30. Needless to say I did not go to the club.

I did want to meet you and Mike as well, he even invited me to his house for a burger b4 the meeting.

The entire night was a huge BUMMER !!!!

Remind me again why I had kids !!!!!

I will keep in touch with you guys here and sooner or later we can put faces to our names.

L8tr. Van

Sorry you both couldn't make it. Next month I'll give folks more notice and we'll see if there might be more interest. There was one guy I invited who didn't get back to me until after the meeting in order to tell me that he totally forgot about the meeting until he read my message and then it was too late.

Hope everything works out for the both of you.

Van, we have our first due in early July. Don't kno if it will be a boy or girl. Wish me luck!

I haven't heard much about stripers just yet in the Boston area.

When the macks come in I'll start fishing for bait and stripers.

Time has been hard to find lately and as much as I wanted to go, my son (age 3) needed to be wrestled and tickeled......Hope to make it over there next month.
