PWC Purchase...Maybe
Got a guy at work, wants to sell me a kawasaki PWC for practically nothing. Its in great shape, he owns 4 other boats including a new whaler he just purchased and has no time for it.
Already talked to the owner of the marina I am in and can put it right next to the family boat...so no problems there.
I have never ridden on a jet ski and do not know the downsides to ownership.
I can do without the general stereotype comments.

"I can do without the general stereotype comments"
Then I guess you already know the downside and are seeking absolution. Not very likely!

Na, I don't give a crap about who approves or not. That is 100% irrelevant to my purchase. Just because some people's wives wont let them have a jetski or harley, doesnt mean they have to spoil the fun for the rest of us who think for ourselves.
I can do without their comments.
***Edit***
Doesn't anyone own a jet ski here?

Well you 've got the attitude down, now all you have to do is get someone to lend you the money and you're a jetskier.

I had one for a little bit that i bought for very cheap $$. It lasted 3 weeks in salt water before it overheated due to seaweed getting stuck in it. I gave it away after that. They are a maintenance nightmare. My friend has a Seadoo RXP which is a 215hp 2 seater rocket. I've done 70mph on it and its a blast to ride (when its a friends) but it gets old quick. He has had it in the shop non-stop and regrets buying it. Also, if you're planning on riding it be ready to be disliked by every boater out there and if you break down, I hope you can swim b/c no one will tow you in. I would never buy one again...

Had them, they are fun, but be carefull they are very powerful. The problem with most jet ski owners it that they never owned a boat, therefore they have no clue about marine law and rules, so they act like jerks. As long as you don't act like that then your all set
