Smile Kids Home for The Summer

Two days after they started vacation, before they were old enough to work, you would hear the same old words, " I have nothing to do"
So we would post a list on the refrigerator and point to it.
WHAT TO DO BEFORE YOU SAY, I HAVE NOTHING TO DO"
Clean your room.
Put your clothes away.
Clean up the cellar.
Clean out the garage.
Weed the beds.
Cut the lawn.
Sweep the porch.
Weed the garden.
Ask your Mother what you can do for her.
Ask your Father what you can do for him.
Ask your Grandmother what you can do for her.
Ask your Grandfather what you can do for him.
Go to the library and read.
Go fishing.
Go swimming.
Go to the park.
Go caddy.
Go for a bike ride.
Play basketball.
Play baseball.
Take the dog for a walk.
Call your friends.
If after you do all these things, and you still say "I have nothing to do", do them over again. There is no such thing as "I have nothing to do".

Although today ,some might call it child abuse it worked for us.
