Flap's vacation so far
Let's see... I have fished with Numbskull, Stiffy, Back Beach Jake (thanks again Fred, you saved my friends day), Labrador1 ( Ryan your generosity was overwhelming and it will be better next time) and Lafleur so far.
This week it's KarlF, The Gibbs guys lined up.
Fishing has been tough, if no boat it would be worse. Beach is giving up some nice fish but few and very far between to guys dunking sandeels ( which are tough to find down Cape) and chunks on some outer beaches. One or two fish for a tide does not excite me though.
The rain!!!!!!!!!!! UGH!!!!! We need sunshine and warmer weather to bring on the palnkton blooms which draw the sandeels in close and we need the silt from run-off to clear in the water.
Karl, keep your fingers crossed for light winds, I know where there are a boatload but the wind has to die (actually three places).
Tomorrow an old friend joins me for some light tackle fishing. I can't wait to taste the sandwiches he brings from the deli in Fall River. HMMMMMM!!! Yummy!
Today Flea Market in Wellfleet with the little lady and P-Town browsing and "people watching" with a cocktail or two mixed in somewhere with a nice dinner on the way home. lobster????

I just got back from a week out on the Cape, yes the fishing was just fair, low numbers but the size was O.K. Plugging was was tough, small rats or nothing, did lost two better ones on plugs. Sand eels on the bottom was best, fresh bait tough to find. Best fish for the week for me was 18 lbs, did see one 6-8 that was in the low 30's, no bluefish. Did see a 10 lbs fluke Sat. morning at M & D, nice fish. Chris
