Yup, looks like either one too many or auto pilot error.
Two years ago, a guy set his auto pilot from Stonnington to Mattituck and fell over board lifting a bumper off the side. Coast Guard used a helicopter and dropped a man on board to stop it just in time to avoid the Mattituck jetty.

looks like the sails were down and stored? if that was the case the power boat would have the right of way the angle they collided

good observation. Unless the catamaran was on anchor  Either way I hope they both had insurance. because the one at fault will most likely be dropped after that mess. Lucky no one was killed.
