Joel,
Was a fun weekend event. Sorry you had so much trouble getting going on Sat morning...We'll hook up another time. So now you know, if it's me that doesn't show, for whatever reason, I expect you to be gone too! Hook me up with some bonito will ya? (just read your article in OTW)

You could not ask for better fishing conditions on Friday and you could not ask for a more festive and sporty group of anglers. Clear, cool, and water like glass for the bulk of the outgoing tide on Friday and into early Saturday morning. Saturday also had a wind change that made the morning incoming tide a difficult paddle and fishing was slow for the eager anglers. The reports showed that the bulk of the larger bass were taken during the outgoing tide on Friday late evening into early Saturday morning. All fish released to swim another day. We had 41 participants for this years event from as far away as PA!
The NEKF community would like to thank our tournament sponsors for the genorous gifts that we recieved for our raffle and provided samples to hand out. We also thank all tournament participants and NEKF supporters. Without you this tournament would not happen.
Tournament Results:
Open Division
1st Place- Seadogface 44" Live Eel
2nd Place- Rustyhook 40 1/4" Live Eel
3rd Place- stonercj58 40" Tube and Worm
Fly Division
1st Place- Lefty 31" Lefty's secret fly
