Merc 125 stalling.

Ok Guys, need some help here. My 2002 Merc 125 hp/ carb/2 stroke has been stalling lately at slow idle, like when docking. This offseason I had a Racor Fuel/Water Sep. installed in preperation for E-10 gas. I was told to change the filter at 100 hrs, it hasn't even been 50 yet. So, Does this sound E-10 related ? I plan on pulling the filter tommorow. Do I just empty it into a glass bottle ? How much water is too much ?? Is replacing the filter as easy as screwing on another ? DO I need to prime it ?

Based on my brief description anyone have any other ideas. It will start up again after stalling, but may stall again 5 minutes later if the rpm's get below 1000. Thanks alot guys, I am trying to keep her out of the shop $$$$.

google merc 125 stalling.
tons of info out there.
i'm not sure? thats got three carbs right. could be anything.
the ethanol problem would shut it right down.
look into the carbs?
as for the water seporator full is bad. 1/2 full is not so bad, 1/4 full is ok put the dry filter on and squeze the bajesus out of the bulb/ball you'll hear it filling up.

Use Startron from Starbrite. 2X the mixture... Change the filter. Check the filter in the engine. I went with this on a 2004 F225 Yamaha but it cured it.

Having the same trouble with my 125 Force. I added the Staron and water sep filter. Also changed under cowl filter and checked the fuel screen. Did new plugs also. Still too soon to tell if it cured it.
I'm still looking for a good mechanic in Warwick area.
