Eric Clapton......
Is coming to town next week. Anyone besides me going?
I was really lucky at the box office when they went on sale. I scored 6th row floor seats for me and my friends. Really looking forward to it. I've seen every tour since 1987 and he has been great every time.
Will have to take a night off from fishing (been doing well this past week) but it'l be worth it.
Eric

Probably my all time favorite. Unfortunately not going. When and where is he playing?
I had front row at the Tweeter back in the early 90's. Had a friend that had a sister that worked for ticketmaster

I saw him play the garden in '72, not the best show I've ever seen and I was really disappointed because he was my #1 guitar hero (after Jimi).

He is playing at TD banknorth garden in Boston on Oct 3 and 4th. Robert Cray is the opening act and has been joining EC on several songs during the show.

Clapton is the only person I can think of that Ive never seen in concert yet always wanted to see. Big Clapton fan......hell I was grinning yesterday when WRSI radio out of Mass put on an early cut of Clapton when he was with Mayall/Bluesbreakers, cranked it right up.
Always respected Clapton's "blue collar attitude" onstage, keep it simple with nothing to get in the way of the music or the playing.
That pairing should make for a good show.

I was in line with a guy from ct who was going to see the boston show instead of ct. He had heard mohegan was going to be 200 + (turned out to be 150).
I just looked on Ticketmaster and there are still tickets for Wed oct 4.
I found loge 22. Not too bad actually. He didn't sell out immediately like the old days. I think the super high ticket prices 125 at the high end and 60 - 80 at the bottom is scaring people away. I don't like paying that, but he is the only guy I go to see nowadays. A few days after the second show went on sale in boston there were still seats on the floor available. I went to see Rush in 1984 and tickets were 12.50. The good old days.

lots of GREAT bands are still playing for those prices at local clubs.
I always gave my buddies grief about that, the next EC is playing in some club tonight and most people will be on their couches. Support live local music!!!!

His Yacht "Blue Guitar" should be close by. Last I saw, it was in Plymouth/Duxbury. A great guy also; fairly normal as normal goes.
