1970s Evinrude Outboard 6 HP

Used as sailboat auxiliary. It was the original motor and always started easily. It was tuned and serviced during the winter of 2004. I always raised sail ASAP and motored absolutely only when necessary, often sailing into the harbor and onto the mooring. So the motor got minimal use. The boat was not used from late fall to mid-summer and the motor must have gotten moisture or sludge in the carb. It still starts and runs but after between a minute and a few minutes it idles down and stalls. Playing with the choke and fuel mixture solves the problem for a while. I bought a newer 7.5 HP motor and am selling this as running but needing a tune-up. Gas tank and hose with proper connect included. Pick-up in SoCo Rhode Island. Photos on request. $195 or possible trade.... custom rod, dry top, Daiwa Slosh 20V reel.... some other stuff that I haven't thought of yet... suggestions welcome. I'll post photos later if needed.

Trades... ??? It's a good solid motor and never stranded me or failed to start. Just hasn't been used enough.
