Owed his looks to flying a plane cockit first onto the landing strip when he was in the service.. quit college to get 200 bucks a fight boxing.. quit that for the stage...

Saw a WW2 movie last night, I'd never seen with him in it.. "Attack".. a decent flick made in the fifites.. about heroism, and cowardice, and the consequences.. had Lee Marvin, and Eddy Albert in it too, Palance was good in it..

And Yeah.. who could forget the onehanded push ups at Oscar night, at the age of 74!
