Question Bob Hahn Plugs

I know this has been discussed somewhat before but I'm curious as to your opinion of these plugs. Are they any good and would you consider them to be the same quality as tatoo, r.m. smith, etc.

They seem to be much less expensive than most custom wood on the market and are available in many styles (jointeds, pencils, surfster, a-40, pikie,.......)

Are some styles better than others? How durable are they?

Any help is appreciated.

Can only comment on the his originals, imho they were among the best at the time. Haven't fished the new ones, but if i did, i would try the surfsters.

Just wondering what was it about the originals that made them so highly regarded? The originals and the new ones were quite plain and basic from the ones I've seen. Action???

I had some originals from @ 1987 that caught fish but did not hold up well. The through wire actually rusted and the paint bubbled off. I don't think they were sealed. He must have improved upon them some after that.

Yes, it was all in the action. Spinner lip, good dig, sexy side to side motion and real wide wake. Would sit on the back of a wave and wiggle like it had a body itch.

I agree. I bought some and the plating just peeled off of the lips and through wires rusted plus the finish sucked. I think they were way overated, so much so I gave mine away. junk really.

Why even try.........
