Don at the RI leg advised that the reason my new 5600C4 won't engage the spool after every cast is that there must be too much grease hanging up the gizmo that does whatever it does. Can you tell I like to break down reels....not. In the past when my Abu's get like this to the point I can take it anymore, I would break down the handle side of the reel to get all the salt build up out, but then 50% of the time they don't work right.
Ok, can I remove the handle side of the reel and soak it in something that will remove all that extra grease and salt and then possible shoot a quick spray of WD40 inside? I like to address the problem without creating another
