Slammed'em 50 fish in the cooler. Heaviest fish was only 17 lbs, on the boat. I think I have 75 lbs of fillets I put into foodsaver pacs today. Mates (3) where filleting for 3 and 1/2 hours on the way back.

Guy had a cod taken by a 10'+ porbeagle. Got it almost to the boat before the line parted, on a tibourium rental setup. I am going to get one of these setups, the fish was estimated to be over 250 lbs. 6.25 gear ratio. Have seen yellowfin to 100 lbs reeled on those reels
Needed 20+ oz to tend bottom. Jigs no bait.

Time well spent, in 20-25 NW with 7-11' seas

I will be going again but I did freeze my butt and the freezer in full at the moment.

Hey Bill sounds like a great time. Wish I could go on one of those trips but I would be doing the technicolor yawn in 7 to 11' seas P.

I hear ya, I really don't like sitting at the bow and seeing waves higher than the bow. But I do like cod in the winter and April is too far away to wait for my boat
