Win 98 safe mode

trying to get my daughters system to start in regular mode. keeps restarting in safe mode.
all started when tried to load a printer. I removed the printer but now only have safe mode

as i remember you have to run scandisk or somethin like that
to get all of the other driver files to load ...first... so it'll boot normally.

i take it adding that printer screwed it up?
when you look at printers installed is it still showing...?
or

sometimes you have to hit F8 .... i believe on boot up
go into the bios and reset everything to defaults
on the boot up tab... then hit f10 to save and exit

1) turn on computer
2) immediately hit F8 key repeatedly til you get a screen that lets you select mode.
3)Choose the normal mode on this screen.

Tried it kept locking up.
