Do you load your plugs tail first or head first in your bags.

Some of the tubes that hold the lures are deeper than the plug, so I load them head first and hang the single hook (rarely trebles) over the tube for easy extraction.

Three-fourths of the Earth's surface is water, and one-fourth is land. It is quite clear that the good Lord intended us to spend triple the amount of time fishing as taking care of the lawn.

After thinking about it sort of depends on the plug. But most of them I normally put them in tail first.
Having said that....Don'tja just HATE WHEN EVERY SO OFTEN THE TAIL HOOK HANGS UP ON THE DRAIN HOLE. JeeeeeeeeeZ I can spend 10 minutes #^^^^&ing with that thing trying to free it. I have come to believe it is the fishing Gods that are trying to prevent me from getting to the one plug I need. When this happens it diverts my attn and I will eventully take off my gear, disassemble it all and remove it . Once it happend twice in one night and I was really PO'ed.

Sure been there. Always seems to be in the middle of a moonless night. Gotta go back to the truck and dump the whole works and that plug is still stuck. Head first for me ....now.

When practical, I try to put them in tail first. That way, I can see what they are easier. What irritates me is when that tail hook gets caught in the drain hole in the bottom of the tube.

I feel deprived, I put mine in tailfirst and rarely if ever get caught.
That's probably cursed me now.

Head first for just about all of em. Had too many tail hooks get caught and had to empty out too many times. Wouldnt it be nice if we werent so stubborn and could just use one of the other plugs that isnt stuck, but since its stuck that means that it has to be the one that will catch.

I too have experienced the hook thru the drain hole. It seems to happen much easier with the one large hole centered in the bottom of the sleeve. We all agree and that it's obvious, the best posistion is tail first. Now if there where many little holes, say, (1/8" dia.) in the lower corners, then the hooks couldn't find it's way in at all.
