Tasty Critters for Dinner

2 hours of freezing my butt off, paid off with a couple of great meals.

Spot burning is a death sentance here. But these were caught locally, not a smelt camp up north. Many rivers off of boston harbor hold these guys.

Christian yes these were all big. The biggest in that pan was prolly about 10".
A guy fishing next to me caught the biggest smelt I've ever seen in all my years. It must have been about 14" and was thick. It looked more like a mackerel than a smelt.

Those are some beautiful looking treats. Nice catch Van!

I should be catching Z's, instead spending my nights, catching fish and letting them all go!
