old wood

Just finished these two jointed ones, swim real nice up on top. spook is a little flatter, I liked the way it swam on test swim. The wood is from the linden tree from Main St Vineyard Haven. The wood was given to me by a crusty old lobsterman in Menemsha that taught me some decoy carving. The date on the wood was march 87, I guess I gave it enough time to dry.

Impressive work for a guy without a lathe. The bass will eat those for sure. Tie good knots!
