Jackman Maine
Pictures from my last trip to Jackman. Pretty much right on the Quebec Border in the North West Mountains of Maine. What a time this was. Best trails I have ever ridden and the scenery was spectacular.

T-19...how bizarre!!.. hubby said "were going to Maine" this weekend when I got home today!! Kind of spur of the moment and a long story behind it but now I am really pumped! never rode in Maine but have wanted to. Cant remember the name of the town at the moment but its in the Moosehead lake region! So hopefully I shall have some good pics to add next week!

You will find it amazing. Let me know where and I will tell you what I have heard recently for trail reports. There are some areas to stay away from near the South Side of the lake, broken groomers. $42 to register for 3 days of riding. Cheaper than Ma.
I am going back up with the wife on the 16th, back to Jackman.

Tynan -
I've been going to Jackman for a few years now. I've got friends who have camps on Route 201 and they rave about the snowmobiling. I usually go up during hunting season and go moose watching. The air is clean and the ski is amazing at night.

I am going snowmobiling this weekend up at moosehead for the first time. I am pumped it is supposed to be in the high 30's and sunny.

You almost want temps to be in the teens to low 20's to keep the snow consistent. With the higher temps and the heat of the Sun in March the trails that are thin start to get a litte muddy. It is great for the warmth factor just not for the trail conditions. Have a great time and take some pics.

Jackman is the cat's meow!
Sorry for the pun.
I was in Jackman 5 years ago white water rafting. It really is a spectacular example of nature, undisturbed. Went canoeing on a small lake for ½ a day. The wildlife and scenery is gorgeous. One of the nicest features was the lack of human trash. We must have covered 5 miles of lake and there was not a speck of trash anywhere. I think people in that environment respect the beauty of nature and think twice before littering.
Looks like you had fun.

Might be for the better. It is going to get warm with showers. I am getting nervous for next weekend. There will be still plenty of snow it will just be in the more remote areas, such as logging roads and offtrail riding. Places where you don't want to break down. My last trip last year was way up in Maine and it was in the high 40's. Almost too warm to ride.
I would strongly suggest trying to organize a trip for next year.
