This will stop most from complaining about our fishing regulations for a little while
This is DISTURBING.
Japanese slaughter of dolphins.

Seriously, they can go sink.
I'd stick in a bunch of racial slurs and swears and whatnot here, but I'll just bite my tongue and shake my head.

Btw, the Japanese still have factory ships off the East Coast.
We see them every year heading south in fall and then coming back in spring.
Midwater draggers just mowing everything up without any regulation.

It makes me sick. I hated when we used to catch them as a bicatch when i used to gill-net.
It just sucks. There need to be some sort of global regulation on that.
We should invite them over here for a seal harvest...

I'd honestly rather see a bounty than let them near here.
They'd just mow down every seal from here to the Canadian border.

thats pretty horrible. I wonder how they can get away with breaking treaties and whaling in waters near our shores? I'm surprised we put up with that.

i wonder
if any of those whale products are sold in this country.
if they are then there should be a total ban on importing it.
Dolphins are the only ocean mammal that are known to
have saved humans from drowning .....
that is one sick flick.... it couldn't be more grotesque .

It brings to mind a story/rumor about how depleted the oceans around Japan are. They have to travel all over the world because they have virtually wiped out all sustainable fish species in their own waters.
Not to go all "Greenpeace" on them, but it would be ironic if in the process of herding the dolphins to thier slaughter their boats happend to sink. I doubt they'd be as happy to see hundreds of dolphin stampeding all over them to reach freedom.
When you think of all the cultures around the world, and all their unique eating habits, the Japanese are probably the most intrusive, and least responsible regarding intelligent ocean harvesting.
That's not to say that we're angels when it comes to ocean harvesting.
If we had maintained our old practices regarding the harvest/fishing for striped bass, we'd be conversing on a bluefish, skate or dogfish.com website right now.

you can't just put your head in the sand....
the best way to fight the slaughter is to make it
unprofitable.... so if they are selling dolphin meat
as whale meat it can and will be stopped by
looking for it in your travels....
ask them if it's an aphrodisiac (good for the penis)
and they'll quickly nod their heads and get excited.
thats their justification for eating grizzly bear gall bladders
and everything else under the sun....rhino horns ect.
saying it's a blood tonic!
good for rejuvenating the mind or body or something similar.
i don't blame you at all for not wanting to see that....of course!
but you should see this picture...the most important IMO
of the video,,,because the buck $$$ stops here!
this is what to look for....

To them it's perfectly natural and something they have been doing and eating for centuries, to us it's disgusting. Culture clash of ideology.
The one thing I find that maybe comments that Dolphinns ain't really that smart is that they all could have easily jumped the nets but don't.
Is intelligence inherrent or learned?
Either way, it is sad but shoot some video of a meat packing plant sometime and don't forget how an animal is made to suffer when enjoying your next Veal Parmigiana.

I already did that over at another fishing site, so don't feel like you have to do it here.
