I just installed the MPU kit on two 704's and they were pretty wobbly, I ended up using some washers on the opposite side of the pick-up kit to add weight and it improved the situation. Might want to give that a try.
There was a article in the NE Fisherman about a month ago.
Take the rotor cup off an set it on the head of a roofing nail.Add weight to the opposite side of the line roller till it balances.
I take a pc of 1/8" round rope lead an form it to the shape of the inside of the cup where the triangular thing is.I beat it flat an epoxied it in place.I take a awl an scratch the area where I want the epoxy to go an wipe everything down with alcohol to be sure it's clean so i have a good bond..30 min stuff in the syringe is fine..Do not go crazy with the epoxy.I will become a sand catch in there.Just enough to hold the lead an cover it to make it nice an smooth..
It works OK.After a while.I can barely tell the difference between the ones I have done an the ones I have left alone..
FORE!
It's usually darkest just before it turns Black..
