Plugs for RI
What plugs would you fish in RI this coming week?
If you were'nt on the DL.
I'm trying not to bring my normal half a truckload.
I'm trying to wean myself from the I might need that, and that, and that, and then I use a half a dozen plugs.
So far I loaded my bag for night with
a couple of loaded redfins
a couple of pocket rockets
a blurple bottle plug
a white and a blurple 6 inch needle
a white a lime green and white and a blurple 7-1/2 needle
a herring stubby needle
a white danny
a yellow darter
a dark A40
a mag darter
some teasers
some rubber
some jigs
some metal
I have'nt done the day bag yet but I think it will have
a spook
a howdy
a pencill popper
some metal
a danny
a stubby needle
some jigs
It's a good thing I only have 5 slot bags

A little early for needles....teasers tend to hang up in the bony spots....There is still good day fishing but the night bite is heating up - this is a transitional time as the fish move toward a more nocturnal feed.
Think herring and squid imitations and worms....Wide-bodied baits and crankbaits like Yo-Zuris, Redfins, Bombers, etc - do very well - as do the sluggos. Eels start their magic right about now also - all my best May fish have come on eels.

Standing on the water, casting your bread
While the eyes of the idol with the iron head are glowing
Distant ships sailing into the mist
You were born with a snake in both of your fists while a hurricane was blowing

Black Mambo is the only thing missing form the night bag....very nice selection otherwise
Olive back/Gold belly Mambo must be in the day bag
