For the difference in price I'd put her on a trailer and take to the gas station it's only a 23.

What is the price of gas at a gas station on the island? I doubt its enough to ease the pain.

Here it is actually more expensive at the street pump then the dock pump in most places. (Menemsha may be different) On the street it is about 3.77 for reg and 3.99 for HT.. At the dock I think it is closer to 3.50 (reg)but I have not gassed up at the dock here this season. I saw a 3.40 sign in Edgartown at the dock. I was in falmouth and figured I would gas up while I was there. 3.62 for reg .

I don't see any long boat rides this season. I plan on fishing the sound mostly. Maybe one or two Chatham runs for tuna...IF they don't show up close to home here.

Ugh! Not what I needed to hear but I knew it wasn't going to be good. Still can't let the boat sit though. Gotta use it.

I paid $3.59 last week, and I'll bet it will be $3.69 this week,
I hold 150 gals @3.59 = $538.50
The Ave Maria 2 holds 300 gals = $1077.00

LETS GO BRANDON

Heard a charter guy is charging $3700 for an overnight canyon trip. This is taking all the fun out of it.

Me as a rec. boater /fisherman I only put in what I plan on using ,if my buget only allows 50$$ for gas I have plenty of places to fish/ I usually have a 1/2 tank always and work with that , I know alot of you have charters to deal with/ far places to go and catch large/ but for me I'm not after a TROPHY fish I'm not a competitive person
, yes I wish I had deep pockets , so for me going out hitting my spot and anchor up chum and see what happens is good enough 4 me.
Last year I spent 300$ on gas and had tons of fun
to each there own for profit you got to pay the price to make money$$$$ for me it's all REC/FUN If I could go out 1/2 mile anchor up I'd be happy as a clam at high tide
BUT we all know this dosen't happen all that much
So happy boating & fishing
