The seas were angry tonight my friends, at least for my little skiff that is and actually they weren't bad at all just some rollers coming in close to shore where i wanted to fish and I didn't feel like banging into rocks so I ducked it back into the harbor. But for this story the seas were angry and I crashed my way back into the channel, rattling everything on my flat bottom skiff including every bone in my body. Most people would have called it a night right there but I was on a mission, a mission to slay! I made it to safe harbors and proceeded to work every inch of shoreline that I usually cast to from shore. I was meticulous, like a surgeon in the O.R., like a pitcher spinning a no hitter, like a..... well you get the point. Then out of know where up a little ways from me I hear some splashes that only a keen slayer like myself could hear. Then the fog rolled in almost like a protective blanket for them to hide under but this is when the slayer feels right at home. Terns were working all around me and bait was busting, could it be happening right here in the harbor? My weapon of choice a tiny pearl shad worked to perfection. Soon they were succombing to my powers and my hook was in deep. Deep into you guessed it.......schooolie after schoolie. The slay master was back!
Reality is shear luck and back to my true form! Can you tell it's been awhile since I had a good fishing story or what!?
