Unhappy summer

Sleigh bell crickets out tonight, usually means 6-8 weeks till frost.

Where did this summer go.

Rav, if you listen closely, they sound like the old bells they used to have on the horse drawn sleighs.
Waaay before your time, and actually mine too.

Clammer would prolly remember.

The old farmers used to predict the first frost by them,
but over the last 25 years they haven't been that accurate with frost not coming till November some years.

It's 20 minutes after 7 in the evening and it's 90 degrees with the humidity over 50 per cent. Summer is alive and well down here.
