Plenty of room in the bluefish department, but that 37 lb mark is setting the pole high on the bass. I'll be happy just to get out Sunday and hope the weather allows just that, but I sure would like to tangle with a 40lber again .

I was over at sportsmans den, Van came in with his buddy. tThey weighed in a 22 3/4lb striper, and I think the other one was around 19lbs, and they had some blues also.

Heading out at 0430, see you out there.

well... lets see what happens. brought 2 fish in this am. 13.5# bass and a 10# blue. won't be able to make it to the awards banquet tonight. don't think the bass will hang, but maybe the blue will.

I had to skip the raffle/Barb-B-Q and head home so I don't know what the final leaders were and I imagine Patrick & Mike went home to sleep after raffle & getting the slips from the shops (they had been out on the boat since early Saturday morning). We'll get the final numbers today.

That 37 (Caught from shore, nonetheless) ended up winning the bass side with second and third being about 30 pounds each. I think 15 pounds put you in the top twenty.

A 14.8 pound blue took first with second and third close behind, and 9.3 pounds put you in the top twenty.

So I think Van won the largest striper from a board member, he had a 22 3/4lb. Anyone get a larger one?

Congrats to Van and Striper1 for 2 nice fish.

Bill looked for you at the awards ceremony. I like striper1's boat.

Over the weekend I:::::

1) fried my windlass, so I couldn't fish alone friday( near my fav rocks).
2) got kicked around something awful on Fri and Sat.
3) Watched my partner lose his lunch Sat (but extra chum is always good)
3) then I lost a bumper on the way out Sunday.

My fish came in 13th. My buddies blue got 19th (I think)
Bassmaster (of course) got a ~27, and rock-on was way up there as well. so I think there must be a few ahead of mine.

Either way is was great fun/crappy weather/great fun.
We both got a bag of lures, a nice okuma reel, a case of coke, and got to shoot the S**t with a bunch of people.

AND,,,,,,,,finally I broke my "NO FISH AT TOURNY" streak.

I took some digitals of TEAM KARAVI'S fish.

Excellent, I was going to go but the wife wanted to go to RI to visit her grammie. Well her grammie was tired and not up for company, so she talked me into a movie. I felt it was the least I could do since she puts up with my hobbies.
Team Striper1 almost lost an anchor on Sunday, we tied a bumper to it, went back after the tide change and were able to retrieve it. I was getting a little light headed towards the end of the trip, whilke anchored up with the fleet. Felt better once we got moving.

Frank thanks for the ride it was fun, I might put my keepalive in the truck, and try for some livies this weekend for my shore excursions.

We heard a lot of you guys on the VHF, tried to get in touch with Van and Bass Master but for some reason got no answers, got a hand held so maybe it's not powerful enough. Did get a couple of successful radio checks. We attempted twice on Friday to get out towards Brewster but it was a little rough and we were getting soaked.

Thanks Bill had a good time sunday no fish
Like they say that's fishing I will PM you sat. if I have any leftovers

Van. with that wind we could not fish my fav. spot sunday nice boat
I need more speed

If my anchor was not stuck in the rocks off one of the outer islands We would have spent more time outside helping with the MSBA chum slick

I was to get that anchor back 7 years with the same one

Frank.
