tree question
raven, bet this is right up your alley. no pressure. just a hunch
got a tree in our driveway.... huge...
been dropping green leaves all year. wicked annoying since its the only place for my boat. and now it's dropping all its bark too. very smooth underneath and there is a two tone swirely pattern underneath... have no idea what kind of tree it is...
question 1
are there any kind of trees that shed it's bark every year?
question 2
should i think more along the lines that its sick.... ?
im guessing 2 on this one... don't know if we can save it or if we need to take it down at some point.

Sycamore maybe. They get real large and have that kind of bark.

Thats exactly what it is...judging from that website and the pictures.. now to figure if it's sick or not.....it seems like the "bark sheding" seems normal but the green leaf droppings is what's concerning.

Bark is normal, kind of a neat thing. Pretty common tree . They get huge. Very desirable. I'd luv one in my yard but I haven't got any more room for anything else. Good luck and let inquiring minds know what is up if you find out.

 .....but, ...........I have a tree that's dropping what appears to be Blackberrys all over the place,,, ??? ,, I squished one, had a decent size seed inside - I think it's a common tree but no-one seems to know what type, close to 30' high, single berrys..not bunches like raspberrys....???....
Maybe the S-B farmer can answer that one too |

Gilly, you could have a cherry tree. They are quite common and get pretty big.

Actually Ed,
These berrys are the size of a cherrys' PIT. They are very small single berrys, not like the berry/bunch-like formation of a blackberry or mulberry....??.....I built a house on an old apple orchard, I still have a couple of crab/apple trees but I can't find a name for this one.

Would you say large bush or tree? High bush cranberries or really a Viburnum get pretty big and have berries with a taste similar to cranberries. What kind of flowers does it have in the spring?

what ever guy designed their air chairs should be castrated
wicked fast because i don't want that bastid fathering children.
the most Stupidest designed truck seat ,,,,i have ever come across... 
never again...i'd buy a truck first....
anyways the scale you have to oil spray
the catapillars you have to spray with
bacillus thurengitus ..... to killem
as high as the tree sounds
you'd have to rent a lift to
reach the top....
next year fertilize
the tree with kelp
which you can buy from neptunes
harvest in glouster and
or get some seaweed liquid to feed it...and
that will give the tree more natural resistance.
bugs can't stand a healthy tree |

Those be the berrys hangin off my tree.
Thank you Much - problem solved.
...Did a little research, seems the dead wilted leaves from this tree produce cyanide which if eaten by animals (in large quantities), can be fatal. It's recommended that farmers should remove such trees from the grove if they have grazing animals.....the information on the "net" never ceases to amaze me
