MSBA Pregame BBQ III

Hello,

For those interested, I will be having a BBQ (hot dogs and maybe burgers) before this week's monthly MSBA meeting on Wednesday. I live virtually staggering distance from the Viking Club where the meetings are held and the BBQ will start at 5:30 and be cut short at 7:15.

This will be the third such BBQ and I'm happy to say that so far all who have attended keep looking forward to the next one. There is a horseshoe pit but we have yet to play because we are usually preoccupied with some serious fishtalk and before you know it, it is time to go to the meeting.

NOTE:

1) BYOB.

2) You do not have to be a member of MSBA to attend the monthly meeting or this BBQ.

3) This is not a MSBA sponsored event.

Please email me if interested and I will provide directions.

Hope You Can Make It,
Mike Flaherty

Yup. Tomorrow actually.

Grilled striper sounds great! I have a seperate charcoal BBQ that we could use for it (I have the charcoal). I will also be making some chile tonight.

Hmmm. Grilled striper, chile, burgers, and dogs. Anyone else interested in comming??

Oh and actually I will have some beer on hand - that is, if you like Gennesee Creme Ale or Pabst Blue Ribbon.

Beetle, I got your PM.

For those interested in directions, please send email to mike@basspond.com. I am keeping a folder of all who respond and I will then send out a mass mailing of the directions tomorrow before noon.

Van, thanks for your comments and effort. So far I have about 8 comming. Unfortunately Jim and Lenny won't be making it this time but there should be some new faces with some new stories.

Hey John, are you in? How about you BasicPatrick?

Later,
Mike

I sent out directions last night to those who have responded. There was one more today. That makes about 9 total.

I still have plent of food so if anyone decides last minute to come then page me at...

781-677-3685

When you hear the beep, just enter a phone number to call you back at.

I will not be checking email again so the above way is the only way to get a hold of me. If you get really desperate maybe you can bug Van and he can give directions too.

By the way, I think this might be the best batch of chile I've made yet!!

See you there,
Mike Flaherty

I just wanted to thank everyone for coming to the BBQ. From the sounds of it, everyone seemed to have a good time. It was great to see some newer faces along with some newer fishtalk.

I want to especially thank Van for bringing that marinated Striped Bass we grilled which was certainly enjoyed by all. Too bad Jim and Lenny couldn't make it this time but I still have a bunch of it left on ice for the next BBQ.

Speaking of which, I think the next BBQ (September) may be the final one for this year. It's not that I don't enjoy throwing it - not at all. However, I think it will be too dark by the October meeting and I don't have any outside lights.

I was hoping that starting at the October meeting maybe we could continue the get together by going to the Jade Palace Super Buffet located next to the Viking Club. It costs about $12 there for all you can eat Chinese food plus prime rib (awesome), shrimp. and more! Just a thought.

Take Care,
Mike Flaherty
