Keeping your brush clean, and thinning thick paints to the consistency of milk is more important than what paint you shoot as far as the air brush is concerned. As far as adhesion to your plug......well that gets complicated but if you search this forum for primers you'll get some answers. Adjusting the pressure you shoot with also has an effect.

I use that same peridot color, I really like it. I just finished up a batch with it and they came out great. I have some cheap single action airbrushes and I find that you can spray the cheaper craft paint in them without thinning and it comes out great. I have used a few of those folk art paints in them. They have some other nice metallics.

Ubrick if you use the delta and other paints,in the BCS, you will have to thin them. I use airbrush medium AC moore has it. I find it works well.

Good luck,
Eric
