Fished Peaked hill and slightly North East of it. No fish, MILES of birds, with some fish breaking under them. Saw a couple fish landed, one guy was fighting one for well over 2 hours. Saw a 1000+ pounder come 6+ feet out of the air, frigging insane! Went and casted to 50 pound fish, no hook ups. Our buddy fought a 100 pound on spinning tackle (casting) for 2 hours before it broke off. Heard that Peaked hill went INSANE around 12 pm with 200-500 pound fish breaking everywhere. We were off the water by then.

Saw a guy going out of sandwhich tuna fishing (i think for his first time ever!) in a 27 proline. That would be tough, but once you get the tuna to the boat, i think it wouldnt be to hard to gaff him...Throw the rod in the holder, grap the bar and stick a gaff in him, sounds simple

I wouldnt say stupid, but hard to pull off. It would be stupid to go to the canyons by your self, but not stupid to go to peaked hill

Dave, I have some recent info as well. Weather for weekend looks good. I am not fishing this weekend. Wifes away so I'm on kiddie patrol. Give me a call later after 4:00p.m.

If you believe this you have A LOT to learn. That is where many fisherman have gotten hurt and even killed. All it takes is one thing to go wrong and youre in a very bad predicament.

Dave,
Nice job. Good decision you made to go where you did and move accordingly. My buddy went where I fished 2 Sundays ago when I saw you and did well. Pm me your number. I lost it. How did the fleet do? Got some interesting info for you. I'll be out Friday through Monday weather depending.
