How many trips did you make?
Little slower than normal for me w/new child, but managed about 20-25 trips.
I ask this every year, so here goes the 2007 version.

We got out till the end of June about 20 times, boated about 200 20+ pound fish and 100 more keepers. After that we went to tuna, only got one.

Probably 75 trips. 40 for bass the rest offshore. Way off from last year but they were all fun and memorable. Countless bass, 150 + tuna, marlin, wahoo, etc. Not a bad year. Next year will be better.

I don't know. I didn't go much until June and really slowed down after about Oct. 15. I did manage 10 nights in a row in early September.

He got his first bass this year, a 30" and several large blues... for a 6 year old, i think he's going to do great.... for Christmas he asked me for a plug bag some pocket rockets and some pencil poppers... LOL

I fished about 100 days this season, 45-50 kayak day trips, the Cape Cod weekend of the Tri-State Tournament, the Maine weekend of the Tri-State Tournament and a week on the Vineyard for the Derby at the Basic Fishing Shack, the rest were day trips from shore. Definitely a record season for me, time-wise anyway, not so much for size, but good numbers..... (and I learned a lot from some good anglers)

I started around April 15th but when May started I went out maybe 1 or twice a week from April 15th until Halloween with a break in mid July and August. I wanted to get out in November but was just way too busy.
I did not slay the fish but I did learn MANY new techniques and areas to fish so overall my season was awesome! I am fine tuning my fishing skills so next season should be even better.
If I am going to fish more I may need to find a more efficient vehicle...a nice 4cyl 4-door pickup would be very nice.

I should show my wife this thread. She thinks I'm obsessed and fish too much.
Last year I did around 60 trips and that was a lot for me given life's responsibilities.
For you guys that are doing, say, 70 plus nights on the water, does your proximity to the water factor in to the number of trips you make?

for me it does. For parts of the year I might fish early am then head out for a couple of hours at last light in the same day. just because i'm close. later in the year its night fishing only and once I'm out I try to stay out and make the most of my time.

Just curious, does logging on to this website and posting about fishing count as a virtual trip???
I fished on T-s boat about 1/2 dozen times/Thanks T - every trip was a memorable one, even the one that dislodged my right vertabrae gotta luv those pounding waves in a bay boat.
Surf Trips?? I couldn't even guess, not that the number was very high, but I now ony log GREAT trips, I got tired of drawing skunks and schoolies in my log book. I didn't fish nearly as much as I did when I had fewer responsibilities...for those about to get married and moving into a single family home, PREPARE yourself for CHANGE in ways you never thought possible!!!
My wife doesn't surf the net so I can say things like that

probably fishing the thames year round or something. i do think some lie about how many trips they make as much as they do about the size of the fish they catch.
