John, I was very much honored by your very thoughtful award. It really blows me away all of you signed it like that and all.
It means a great deal to me and I thank all of you.
You guys make the plugfests what they are much like we all make this website forum what it is as John says. It's a team effort. I'm glad everyone enjoys it so much. It sure has morphed from what it started out as back in 2001 as a lure building get together with lathes spinning, lead being poured, tailhooks being tied and rubba being poured by GS, and Habs and Tattoo offering advice, and the food at every one we've had has been awesome. Salty and Canalman gave me a break for a year in 2004 I think and added those contest plugs and it has been a huge hit ever since, the bar gets raised each year. We seem to outgrow the places we hold it at also. Next year maybe we can get it a little more organized and plan it out ahead of time. I sure enjoyed the day and like how everyone gets inspired and learns new stuff at these events. That's what it's all about. And hopefully you'll all go fish the plugs and maybe even catch some bass on them.
All those mad scientists in one room was amazing. You guys are the best.

Bruce thanks for being... well you know .... you!

Plugfest is right up there with all the big holidays, higher even. I do miss (and Habs) it at the "Mays" but it goes forward very well. I cant wait for next year...

Slip - I wanted you to have something you could look back on and smile some twenty years from now. The hard part was Tagger running around to get it signed on the opposite side of the room from wherever you were

You started Plugfest. There would be no Plugfest if not for you. The unreal work everyone does, the sharing, the friendships that have developed over the years - a lot of that is a result of your work and your wanting to help & give.

Something to hang in the Man Cave

Thank you for everything over the years

Sorry I could'nt make the Plugfest as I'm on the West coast..But congrats on all the work you certainly do..With this forum , It makes me feel as part of your tremendous friendship to fishing & sharing with lure building...I've had a few Striperfests at my house for about 40 friends in the last few years...Stripers have really dropped off in the past...But seeing the wonderfull gatherings you have back east, gives me a push for another this year...Actually 6 of us are going to Rhode Island in June to sample your great fishery. Any way keep up the sharing of wonderfull ideas with the Left ocean guys, as we really appreciate it.. Jim
