Someone warn the herring

crying: Most I've seen at the Gurnet. They're big and fat, I wonder what's on the menu.

yup been getting worse every year. Last year they were in the beach channel by the first crossover. Those rocks, and around the corner used to hold some good fish, but since the seals been hit or miss. plus you have to use some pretty long spikes on your shoes to stand on a seal.

If only we could create some crazy rabid four foot piping plover that eat seals. That would be worth the beach closures. nothing larry, started turning again.

Next thing will be the Capt John boats running Seal Watch Cruises like they're doing on the Cape.

Fishsmith,

Where is the picture of you with your aluminum billy club? Or do you prefer wood, or wrist rocket?

Beamie, I called up my canadian friends, as soon as the blood dries, fresh seal pelts will be in the classifieds.

I guess they've always been there, but for me, this is the most I've seen, and they're not as skittish as years past.

When folks are getting spooled live lining macks this spring, chances are it's not a record setting bass it's these fat fooks.

I battled one of those "ba$tages" over a pogey right at that spot last fall from the boat. Had him half way to the boat too. You should have seen all the boats in the area watching me going backwards with the rod bent over.... Of course it never occurred to me at the time what I would do if I actually got him to the boat.

Hopefully I'll be old and boat bound before they make it up here but I doubt it.

The cape needs more great whites to police up the seal infestation. Then some plover eating mammals to take over the beaches early in the season.
