Weekend Plans??
What's happening for the weekend?
I'm kicking my wife out for a well deserved break and hanging out with my son for the whole weekend so I seriously doubt any fishing. Although, this also starts a week of stay home vacation and I plan to do a lot of fishing...
So who else is chasing the elusive 50 pounder this weekend?

Was gonna try fo a trophy on the Cape, but then I saw the weather report.
Was gonna hang with the fiance and do no fishing, but then I saw the weekly report on Onthewater.com and couldn't believe my eyes.
Said that stripers and blues are feeding at the other side of the Mystic River locks in Charlestown. Also said that Stripers up to 35 inches had migrated all the way up into the lower Mystic Lake in Arlington which is where I grew up! My parents have a home right on the lake, and a 17' Whaler tied to the dock. I don't like fishing in the rain, but there's no run involved here. If I manage to pull a Striper from the fishless lake I grew up on...

My wife has the weekend off, so we are planning on doing some things together and I'm fairly certain fishing isn't one of them. Still I might have to sneak out early tomorrow morning if the weather isn't too bad for a little casting. Playing taxi for my Son and 3 friends for his 16 birthday and the Corn concert (got ear plugs). Sunday playing it by ear and Monday weather permitting it's King Richards Fair and some sight seeing .

new secret spot
going out early Sat am with a buddy to a new spot that is holding stripers. Found this place late Thursday night. Caught a 29 lb and a 23 lb out of this hole. One catch though, there is a underwater obstruction of some type and the fish race to it as soon as they are on. Lost three other fish on it. They wrap the line around it. Smart little buggers. I bet there is a wise old cow sitting on the bottom. Let's see if I am right. Can you feel the EXCITMENT!!!!

Just got back from Northern PA. The wife had a business trip so me and the little ones went along for some leaf peepin. Beautiful country and the leaves are almost at there peak color. If anybody is planning a trip to the Pococno mountains, Woodloch Pines is a GREAT family resort. We are definately going back. 4.5 hr drive from RI. Awesome deer hunting also. I was getting a little stir crazy seeing all these big fish postings on the laptop 300 miles from the Breachway! I'm gonna get out sat + sun night. Hope to see more large on the board monday am.

MikeCC, I ran into a friend of yours at a wedding tonight, David Desrosiers. It turns out he and I played hockey together in Abington. You made a mess of tuna sticks for him a ways back. Good guy.
I hit the ditch this AM early, got a few from twinkee up to 20 lb.
Tom. I have to work

Is it Monday yet only thing that can take me away from fishing for awhile is sitting in a tree ( some times sleeping) and watching the world go by . Hey GS the pier gave up a 43# fish thur. morning if you can make it down this way it will only get better over the next two to three weeks.
FISH, BOW HUNT, FISH, BOW HUNT ? I know bow hunt all day and fish all night life is good!!!
