I have four or five of those Egrets fly back and forth between two bodies of water over my house everyday. Always about fifty feet over the tree tops. Eerie looking foul.

Only if I got caught!
Beautiful bird just way to devastating if you're not keeping a constant vigil.

I've got an hot box for an electric fence that we always found dead birds and rabbits under it. Give it a real hot foot.

egretable

the only thing that keeps out a great horned owl out of the turkey enclosure was the thin wire electric fencing
....over head,
it's the cheapest electrified product out there and 100 % effective if done correctly.
.... definitely the best.

found a source

wasn't that easy to locate

but it will get you started

according to what i've read any wire mesh fence
can be electrified if you ground the fence posts
and have the zapper attached

but a recently made product has the wire
in it and its a very thin wire fence...
and usually the thinner the cheaper
when your buying 100' foot rolls of it

check with all your local agricultural suppliers
in your area

but here's a link for ya...
and remember your lookin for electrified poultry netting
not something more substantial for say horses

I once belonged to a sportsman's club that had a pond they stocked themselves with trout. every now and then both a Blue Heron and an Egret would take up residence and devastate the trout stock. There was nothing that could be done. the heron has a huge wing span and would just sweep across the pond and nail a trout every pass. facinating to watch but it would make you cry thinking about the dollar value of the fish they were eating.
