Monster cod

I was reading on another board about some big cod being caught on the American Classic a few days ago (Walsh's deep sea fishing of Lynn Ma. )
A few caught in the 30lb
One 66lbs
And a monster 78LB

Geez.. I would just like to see a 78lb codfish. You would need an awful lot of beans to go with that many fishcakes.

Years ago, big cod were not uncommon. It's nice to see them again.

Be encouraging, not discouraging

They catch a big spawners every year up here. All the partyboats target them when they come inshore. quite a few over 50-60 lbs.
