Water Heater Grump

Went for a shower during halftime last night. Looking forward to it after a sticky three shirt day. No hot water.... Down to the shop. Water and steam coming out of the upper overflow with the 18" copper pipe. I now have water covering the floor ALL OVER THE SHOP!..... what a nightmare that causes me.
Shut it down, turned off the water supply, made the call. It had "overheated"???? I had the water temp too high for too long??? The unit was 2 years old in Feb. Service this morning. It better not need replacement. Not an expense I can deal with right now.

So after I get the tileman going at the jobsite, I am morphing into a stcky, stinky, unshaven, MF'ing collection agent. Gotta collect on some overdue/bad accounts.
