A few years back I was fishing in Stony Brook in Weston, at a somewhat secluded bend in the river, when I heard something crashing through the brush about 50 feet behind me.
I turned to see what I initially thought was a horse tramping through the brush (No antlers). Then I realized 2 things: The "horse" had a longer than normal head, and that I didn't recall any horse farms in that part of the city. It walked behind me and continued on its way without a second thought. I wish I had my camera ready, but by the time I got it out of my tackle box, it was already back into the thick brush.

I pull out my trusty moose rifle ( which I always have with me for just such an ocassion ) and I blast the beast to kingdom come and feed the family for the next year.

Give a man a fish and you feed him for a day ...
show him where to fish and ... you'll be sorry

I have encountered my fair share of moose (well ...not while fishing) but quite frankly you dont do anything but back off and let them carry on their merry way!!!!

Simplify.......
