saturday's bloodbath

we headed out at first light and made our way to the b bouy. we fished for a half hour and only had 5 macks and a few short cod. it is time to load up the freezer and i was starting to get nervous. thankfully the wind laid down and we headed out to the bank. there were a half dozen boats there and as soon as we got close the fishfinder went black and said we were in 15' of water. here they were. the sabikis went in and the macks were flying over the rail. for the next 6 hrs we bailed them. they were coming up 5,6,7 at a time. after a while i sent one back to the bottom and put it in the rod holder. a few minutes later the rod was doubled over. a nice fat #46 cod came up. it felt good to gaff something, it's been awhile. by the time we left there were 3 doz+ boats out there, we fished away from everyone. we filled up 3 coolers and had a great day. thanks for the grinder bigbo - we put it to good use.

Niko,

Don't wash all that blood off, save a bit of mojo.
