Got my first tuna....
Headed out early this morning for some tuna fishing. Plenty of tuna, but the bite was slow. We landed one of two that hit the spreader bars, somehow the first one got unhooked before we got to the rod, pretty unusual. This one went 51" and 75 lbs, nice to finally land one, now gotta try to get one on spinning gear.

thanks
thanks guys, feels good to get one. Like I said, there were a ton of tuna out there, they were just being stubborn for a while. A lot on top, and the fish-finder was loaded. We stopped for a while and tried to butterfly jig for them as well, ended up with a few bass, but not what we were looking for. Looking forward to doing more tuna fishing this year than ever, just got into it last year. I need them to come in close in order for me to get them on my own boat, but I am sure there will be more chances on my buddies boat when he's not lobstering. Hats off to Matty, "Seafever Charters", you continue to find the fish.
