Fresh Sandeels?

Anybody know where to score some fresh sandeels on the way to Sandwich from the mainland? Heading to the beach Saturday with the lady figured I'd set up a spike. Can't stand buying frozen always seem to fall apart or just don't attract!

If you're gonna deadstick, you're probably better off with some fresh dead pogie or mackeral. Most shops down there should have some.

I think circlehook has got the right idea. I would deadstick a nice bloody chunk 'o pogie or mac. get fresh, not frozen if you can help it. You're right about frozen sandeels, they are a joke. Tried em once, never again.
