So how did you do?? where did you go and what gear did you use? I met a free diver down at Pt. Judith not long ago he gave me good info on where all the bait was.

The new Fisherman has an article on a tourny and pictures of some BIG fish. Also a nice article by Flap.

I've got three friends who dive and they will join me in the boat on occasion. I've learned quite a bit about fish behavior from them!
I'll drop them off on a reef and they do quite well with Fluke, Tog, and Bass. Apparently Tog are easy to find and to shoot, as they're very curious, and Fluke lie still, thinking you don't see them, so they're fairly easy as well. Good luck out there and let us know how you do!

went out last sunday morning to the center wall. the seas were pretty crazy due to the storms so the guy i went with made a dive on the outside befre he let me get in the water....i wasnt upset. he got 4 or 5 nice totaug there and we moved inside the walls to another spot. after swimming around and getting used to the equiptment, as it was my first time ever diving, i got to get into some fish. saw a couple of nice bass but they were significantly quicker than the totaug. got one taug about 4 pounds, and my buddy got 5 more. biggest was probably 6#s. let me tell you im hooked. its pretty awesome to be swimming around the rocks youve been casting at your whole life and seeing the fish in their natural habitat doing what they do. im going to be getting my own equiptment and starting to go more often. i think that anyone who loves to fish would benifit from this because you can see whats going on. there were alot more fish around than i had expected to see judging by my fishing results in the past. cant wait to go again

center wall
I was fishing that sunday morning in my boat right near the outer corner of the center wall... drifting for scup near the red buoy... wonder if I saw you guys... My father free dives there... I drop him off, and fish until he's finished... Ive never tried it. The waves were pretty hairy that morning!!!!

yeah it was definetly not a nice calm morning haha thats why i didnt get into the water outside the wall. the guy i was with said it took everything he had not to drown ha so the inside of the wall looked alot better to me. we were in a 13ft whaler skiff. hopefully going again this weekend

a sporting proposition if i ever heard of one. swim up to the fish, shoot him from 3 ft. away. what is the limit on taug?? your buddy got 9 ??

put them back alive. i do have grandkids.
as your hair gets whiter, your gear gets lighter.
